I know it's been over 2 months since I updated The Ponies who Played with Fire, but fear not. Chapter 4 turned out to be a big long clunker like the last one, but I'm happy to report it is nearly ready, and will be posted as soon as I have finished editing it. (And given Nightwalker a chance to check it over as well, of course.) Hang in there folks and thank you so much for your patience.

As indicative by my late at night blog post and lack of new chapter for It Takes A Princess, the current chapter just plain isn't coming together and needs more work. This probably goes without saying at this point, but I'd rather submit no upload than a mediocre one.

Rest assured that this fic will be done before the August 1st contest deadline. I'm determined to not fall completely off the wagon.

Hey folks,

I probably should've published this yesterday, but I've been back in the States visiting family and was out of town most of the day. So my 2017 retrospective comes out in 2018 instead.

2017 had an odd feel for me, in that I felt like I managed a lot of writing, but at the same time did very little publishing. In fact, my story feed bears this out: I only published three stories in all of 2017.
